NB Power offers a comprehensive home energy efficiency program called the Total Home Energy Savings Program. Eligible homeowners have access to free products such as low-flow shower heads, face aerators, and LED lights, along with over a dozen rebates on insulation, heat recovery systems, air sealing, pool pumps, and other energy-efficient upgrades. The first step is an initial Home Energy Evaluation by a Certified Energy Advisor.

NB Power offers cash incentives from $6000 to $10,000 for new homes that exceed the National Building Code with the New Home Energy Savings Program. Homes are evaluated on performance. Either builders or homebuyers (defined in this program as people having homes built) can participate in the program.

With the Total Home Energy Savings Program, NB Power currently offers a $200 per kW rebate on solar photovoltaic systems that meet the program’s requirements.

Through the Low Income Energy Savings Program, NB Power offers a variety of upgrades to help New Brunswick homeowners with an annual combined gross household income under $70,000 reduce their energy use and costs.

Eligible homeowners will be offered a series of energy-efficient upgrades, such as the addition of basement, attic and wall insulation, ventilation for air quality or humidity issues and mini-split heat pumps for more efficient heating.

With the Community Outreach Program, any not-for-profit or community organization that works with disadvantaged populations in New Brunswick (e.g. people with lower incomes, seniors, single-parent families, or new immigrant families) can apply for the community outreach program.

NB Power offers kits with LED light bulbs, an LED nightlight, an electrical power bar, low-flow shower heads and faucet aerators to not-for-profit organizations that work with underserved populations.
